Open Road Paving Company LLC
is a locally
and family owned and operated business. Our company was founded in March 2008 as a result of the merger of Champaign Asphalt and MACC of Illinois - two of the largest asphalt companies serving East Central Illinois with over 100 years of combined experience in the industry.

Open Road Paving Company LLC
has two asphalt plants in East Central Illinois. Both plants are conveniently located in Urbana and Fairmount, IL, allowing us to provide asphalt services to the eight county areas , including Champaign, Clark, Dewitt, Douglas, Edgar, Ford, Piatt and Vermillion counties.
We maintain quality assurance and quality control labs at both our plant locations and utilize a facility on North Oak Street in Champaign. We own a fleet of equipment utilized for heavy highway construction, including six asphalt pavers, 32 rollers, two material transfer devices, concrete saws, excavators, backhoes, skid steers, etc.
Our main office is located at 1414 W Anthony Drive in Urbana, IL. Our management team and predecessor companies have a long history of service to the asphalt industry as well as to the local community. We believe in supporting our industry and our communities.
Open Road Paving Company LLC , through our association with our parent companies, is a leader in developing new technology related to asphalt paving, including the use of recycled asphalt products (RAP), warm mix asphalt, the use of used oil to heat our plants, as well as potential use
of recycled shingles in our asphalt mixes.
About Our Management Members
The management members of Open Road Paving Company have served as President of the Associated General Contractors of Illinois and the Illinois Asphalt Paving Association.
Our management members have also served in various board and officer roles for the Central Laborers Pension Plan, the United Way of Champaign County, Cunningham Children’s Home, the YMCA of Champaign County, the Champaign County Chamber of Commerce, Bank Champaign and the Salvation Army, among others.
